Free-hand Writing

Free-hand writing is one of the best ways to express your inner most emotions and thoughts, not to mention that it helps to get rid of writer's block. The key is to keep your hand moving, and to not stop writing for about two minutes. I don't even think about what I'm writing until the two minutes have passed. Two minutes is the minimum amount of time; it gets your creative juices flowing. Below is an example of some free-hand writing that I did in about two minutes.

Silhouette
There comes a time when one can no longer linger with the objects of past times, both good and sad.  Not one man loves to love soley alone.  He fights the cricketing pulses of the fallen, distant shadows.  He cannot argue that he has not loved, only that he may not have loved well.  How cheap we see him, yet our hearts turn into shattered glass.  Hiding and finding never became so effortless.  Don't turn back, there's only a silhouette carressing your door frame.  If it weren't for my nostalgic longing impulses, I'd be running...no sprinting towards you.  The "you" not being particularly important, because I've no idea where this wallowing shell will take me.  Just keep going.  There's an omen calling your name, and the only way to escape it is to climb out of your exsanguinated body.

Sounds Like Me

Sadly I believe I talk like this whenever I get excited about something. Usually this happens when I'm talking about either M. Night Shyamalan, Lost, or Vietnamese food. I laughed soooo hard when I saw this.

BAD ROBOT

I watched The Iron Giant last night for the first time with some of my favorite people. Has to be one of my favorite animated films now. Oh, and after six years of watching the animated robot say, "bad robot" after every Lost episode, I finally understand where the heck that comes from. THE IRON GIANT. Well here's my favorite scene.

The End

My dear, dear Lost. We've been together these past six years, and the time for us to part ways has already come. Never have I watched a show with such commitment and dilegence. No. As cheesy as it may sound, you were there throughout my entire high school career, and added that extra bit of spice to my life. So thank you. See ya in another life brother.

The End's Not Near, it's Here.

Well. Graduation was last night, and so marks the end of my high school career. Bitter sweet, but also unbelievably relieving. Thanks to all who have supported my throughout these four long years. Desert Christian, I shall miss you dearly. I love you all. TIME FOR SENIOR TRIP.

Me, Jeremy, and Josh decided to write a song.  We then, in the same day, recorded that song.  This is a picture of us coming up with ideas.  I'll be posting the song shortly.

Awakening

This is a poem I wrote about two years ago.  It's one of my favorites, so I thought I'd unbury it once again.

Awakening
The world grows quiet,
skin turns numb,
and eyes awaken,
they do not shut.
The sun rises in a crimson sky,
and waters fall upon the shy.
The beautiful man sings,
and music flows from the earth.
It pierces the body,
and resonates throughout the soul.
It dismantles the mask,
leaving only the heart,
a heart so disfigured,
it's called a piece of art.
A grumbling begins,
it begins from within.
It's the beginning of change,
the beginning of great light.
Time grows on,
and a new song arises.
It's the song of the beloved,
they cannot be silenced.

The Last

The last one hour episode of Lost is tonight.  This will be the last Lost Tuesday.  I plan on writing more about how this amazing show has impacted me over these six crazy years, but I'm saving that post for the season finale, which will appear on Sunday.  Tonight's episode is titled, What They Died For
